1. Introduction, Air Sovereignty Operations Centers

As the Strategic Defense Initiative during the Reagan Administration developed satellite systems for U.S. defense, many other countries looked for defense systems.

The UNISYS experience with Air Traffic Control and associated systems provided solutions to those countries.  Customers included Romania, Taiwan, Thailand, and Turkey. Lockheed Martin continued support of these systems.
