1. Introduction
 Part of the VIP Club history/legacy/heritage is traced to Burroughs which purchased Sperry in 1986 to form UNited Information SYStems. 
 
1.1 Products 
Marketing and Field Service functions for all Burroughs products continued in the Twin Cities from the late 40s until the 80s.  Then their support was combined in a new building at 3199 Pilot Knob Road in Eagan, across the parking lot from the Sperry Defense operations which became a part of Lockheed Martin MS2. 
 
This is referred to as the 'MACS' building in VIP Club literature as we have volunteers serving at Blood Mobile drives. [lab]

1.2 People
The  former (retired) Twin Cities Burroughs employees have a monthly luncheon gathering the 2nd Tuesday in the third floor food court at the Mall of America and annnual Christmas party independent of the VIP Club party.  Their 2008 contact list had 182 people. [lab]

We are seeking a volunteers to expand these parts of our history.

3. Sperry
This section is a placeholder for information relative to 'Elmer Sperry' and that company before the merger with Remington Rand to become part of Sperry Rand.
Remington Rand
